ICE LIONS go 1-2 at ACHA Showcase
The Ice Lions got off to a rough start this weekend going 1-2 at the ACHA Showcase at IUP. While the team played well, they came up short against Oakland and IUP, while handling S. Illionois. Details on the Game Page.
Brian Gratz gets called up.
Former Ice Lion Goalie Brian Gratz has been called up to the Penn State Icers, ACHA Division I. The Ice Lions congratulate Brian, but will miss him in the coming season. Way to go, Brian!
Coach Stroemel will step down after this season.
Head Coach Mo Stroemel has announced that he will be stepping down as head coach at the end of the 2003-04 season. Stepping down will allow Coach Stroemel to concentrate more on family and his position as an Assistant Profeesor with Penn State's School of Theatre. This will be Coach's 9th year with the team and his 7th as Head Coach. His career record as head coach is 102-54-11.
